Major Christopher McGovern
Major Chris McGovern has both experience working as a detention officer as well as a security officer. He is a Georgia licensed armed Security Officer and a certified School Security Officer. He currently oversees all School Security Division operations as well as manages portions of the Hospital Division. He is assigned as the primary School Security Officer for Citizens Christian Academy in Douglas, GA.
Major Scott Harper (retired)
Major Harper is a Georgia POST certified law enforcement officer with almost 30 years of experience. He is also a Georgia licensed armed Security Officer and a certified Georgia School Safety Specialist. Major Harper is a founding member of the CAAA team and has formerly served as the Chief Instructor and Chief of the Hospital Security Division. Major Harper helped create the School Security Division and served as the School Resource Officer for Citizens Christian Academy until his recent 2024 retirement. Prior to his law enforcement career, Major Harper served in the United States Air Force. Today Major Harper volunteers as a security consultant when needed and is still a familiar face at all of our various schools sporting events.
Lieutenant Luther Covington
Lt. Covington is a Georgia POST certified Detention Officer as well as a Georgia licensed Armed Security Officer. Lt. Covington supervises the CAAA security personnel assigned to the Irwin County School district. He is assigned as the School Security Officer at both the Irwin County High School and Irwin County Elementary School. He also supervises the Discovery Regional High School Campus in Fitzgerald. Lt. Covington proudly served in the United States Navy. The CAAA Officers performing security for the Irwin County School District work alongside of the sworn School Resources Officers assigned to the school by the Ocilla Police Department.
Sgt. Clayton Roberts
Sgt. Clayton Roberts is a Georgia licensed Armed Security Officer and is certified as a School Security Officer. He is also internationally certified as a Healthcare Security Officer by the IAHSS. Sgt. Roberts supervises the Hospital Division in Ben Hill County but also assists with supervising the Discovery Regional High School Campus in Fitzgerald, GA. He regularly supports the security staff at the Ben Hill County School District as well. He also assists with supervising the security operations for the Vidalia City School District events.

Ben Hill County Middle School - Security Officer Michael "BIG Smooth" Frazier
Officer Frazier is a Georgia licensed armed security officer and certified school security officer. He is also internationally certified as a Healthcare Security Officer by the IAHSS. Officer Frazier was born and raised in South Georgia living most of his days in Fitzgerald.
Ben Hill County Primary School- Security Officer Amber Ward
Officer Ward is a Georgia licensed armed security officer and certified school security officer. Officer Ward has extensive experience working in the customer service industry. She has three beautiful children who all attend school in the Ben Hill School District.
Lt. Covington being recognized on 12-09-2024 at the Irwin County Board of Education meeting for excellence in his service to the students and staff at the Irwin County Elementary School.
School Security Division- Security Officer Gary Wynn
Officer Gary Wynn serves as the School Security Officer for the Lakeland Campus of the Discovery Regional High School in Lakeland, GA. Officer Wynn is a Georgia licensed armed security officer and certified school security officer. He is also internationally certified as a Healthcare Security Officer by the IAHSS. He graduated Valdosta State University with a Bachelors degree in Public Relations in 1988 and again with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2004. He is married with three children and 5 grandchildren.
